New song added, Moving update

As Heather and I get closer to making the move to Austin, I felt inspired to write a new song “Shine at my feet.” You can hear it in the music samples section. I hope it speaks to others seeking direction in life. Feel free to share it.

The third week of November is when I will be relocating to Austin to begin working with Lord of Life Lutheran church as their music director. The trip we made last weekend sealed the deal, and we also got confirmation that Heather will be working at the vet clinic she wanted to work at. So all good news so far. Next is to try to nail down a house and getting mortgage approval.

New score complete, Website Updated, and Moving news

Work on Van Blumreich’s latest film “The Natural Order of Things” has come to a close. I’ll be adding some of the final music cues from the film to the Music Samples playlist soon. Obviously, one of the main bits of news is the revamping of the website. Content has remained essentially the same, but hopefully this new look will be more appealing and less sprawling. On the Move: Plans are in motion as Heather and I prepare to relocate to Austin, Texas later this year. I will be down in Austin on the 25th and 26th of September doing interviews and looking at houses. With the experience I’ve gained in Cincinnati directing the Pleasant Run church choir and heading up the office at The Center for the Arts over the past several years, my first goals are going to be looking at Arts Admin and Church Music Direction positions in Austin, and beginning to build a private lesson studio again once we’re settled down. Here’s hoping there are available positions opening up soon!

FURY complete

It’s a wrap on our first short film together. Van Blumreich and I collaborated on FURY, which is a story about adolescence, strained friendships, and conscience. It was a great time, doing regular video chats from across the country (he’s in Austin and I’m in Cincinnati).
Here’s looking forward to future projects together!
